Payment Terms

We accept the following payment methods for legal services:

✔ Credit & Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
✔ E-Transfers (Interac)
✔ Bank Wire Transfers
✔ Certified Cheques & Bank Drafts
✔ Cash Payments (in-office only)

For large transactions, a wire transfer may be required.

Our legal fees vary based on the complexity of the case and are determined as follows:

A. Flat-Fee Services

Certain legal services, such as simple wills, real estate transactions, or business incorporations, are offered at a fixed, all-inclusive rate. You will be informed of the total cost upfront.

B. Hourly Rate Services

For litigation, corporate law, or complex estate matters, legal fees are billed on an hourly basis. The rate will be specified in your engagement agreement.

C. Retainer Agreements

For ongoing legal services, a retainer deposit is required before work begins. This deposit is held in trust and billed against as legal services are performed. Any remaining balance will be refunded upon case completion.

✔ All invoices will be sent via email or provided in person.
✔ Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise specified.
✔ Late payments may be subject to interest charges (see Section 4).

If you have any concerns about billing or payment deadlines, please contact us immediately.

✔ Payments not received by the due date may incur a late fee of 2% per month (24% per year).
✔ If payment remains outstanding for more than 60 days, legal services may be paused or terminated.

Clients experiencing financial difficulties are encouraged to contact us to discuss alternative payment arrangements.

✔ Court filing fees, expert witness fees, and other third-party costs are billed separately and must be paid in advance.
✔ Clients will be informed of any additional costs before they are incurred.

✔ All payment transactions are secure and encrypted.
✔ We do not store credit card details or share payment information with third parties.

If you have concerns regarding an invoice or payment, please contact us immediately. We will work with you to resolve disputes fairly and efficiently.

In case of unresolved payment disputes, Cactus Law reserves the right to take legal action or refer outstanding debts to a collections agency.
